Scania to Deliver First Euro 6 Buses to PT Transjakarta

Scania will deliver its very first articulated Euro 6 gas-fuelled buses to Indonesia. The 20 units will be delivered to the newly-established city-owned PT Transjakarta for operations on the TransJakarta Bus Rapid Transport system, considered as the world’s longest.指揮式調(diào)壓器/調(diào)壓閥1098-EGR
TransJakarta, which was first built in 1994, now comprises 12 corridors with a total length of nearly 200 kilometres and more than 200 stations. An additional two corridors will be opened next year. Some 500 buses at present serve over 350,000 passengers daily.
Scania supplied a demo bus that has been assessed by PT Transjakarta. Following these tests, the public company has placed an initial order for 20 units. Although Indonesian regulations only require the Euro 2 emission standard, Scania will supply buses for the Euro 6 standard, a major leap in cleaner technology. Biogas/natural gas powered Scania buses have 9-litre engines capable of developing maximum power of 340 hp and maximum torque of 1600 Nm.
The 18-metre articulated gas bus is configured for 140 passengers, of which 44 are seated. The bus will be built with three double doors, three on each side. “Scania is leading in gas technology and we are pleased to supply higher quality buses that will provide passengers with better comfort while also dramatically reducing emission levels,” says Mikael Benje, Head of the Scania Representative Office in Indonesia.
The buses, with bodywork by Indonesian bus and coach builder Laksana Karoseri, will be delivered this autumn through Scania’s distributor United Tractors, which will also service the new buses.
