Kamaz Gas-Powered Bravis to Go into Series Production

OJSC KAMAZ has introduced the CNG Bravis, a small-class city bus with a compressed natural gas engine that generates 190 hp. The new bus is a joint product of OOO KAMAZ-MARCO and OOO RariTEK, OJSC KAMAZ’s distributor of products with gas engines.
Buses manufactured by the joint venture of KAMAZ and the Brazilian company Marcopolo S.A. – KAMAZ-MARCO – the bus is described as meeting all modern international standards. It is are based on KAMAZ-3297 chassis and Brazilian antirust bodies made of galvanized steel and aluminum.
The presentation to the directorate of OJSC KAMAZ (a member of State Corporation Rostec), was made by Rafael Batyrshin, Head of RariTEK, with the assistance of Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ, and managers of the company’s departments.
The participants had an opportunity not only to assess the exterior of the bus, but also to go for a drive as a passenger in it on one of the city’s avenues. Subsequently the top managers of KAMAZ approved RariTEK’s plans to start serial production of Bravis CNG small-class city buses.
At the meeting, KAMAZ Leasing Company Inc. announced a special offer for the Bravis city bus on the KAMAZ-3297 chassis (20% deposit, 48 months lease, appreciation from 6.6%, preferential CASCO insurance 1.1%).
